Lithic Pure Cricket Flour can be added to a variety of food mixes to give a paleo-pure boost of natural protein.  You can even add it to your favorite protein shake or smoothie to vary the types of protein you’re feeding your muscles.  We like to throw a scoop into our pancake batter, sprinkle some in a brownie mix, or adding it to any recipe calling for ‘flour.’ Check out some Pinterest recipes here!

Standard Blend – 1lb Our standard blend is slightly coarser than the superfine powder, making it ideal for solid food cooking. This blend is what we use in all of our bars and is 100% pure!

Premium Superfine Blend – 1lb Our premium blend is reduced to about 50 microns in size, making it more ideal for liquids and beverages. This blend is what we use in our Cricket Complex. Creating this blend takes more time to produce, but the end product provides ultimate versatility.

Why Cricket Powder?

Your Paleolithic ancestors ate crickets long ago as a primary source of protein, and over 80% of the global population still consumes insects daily. The human body has grown accustomed to cricket protein over the millennia and can process it efficiently without any unnatural strain on your bodily functions caused by many other synthesized proteins. Cricket protein is a sustainable source of high quality protein that uses exponentially less water and energy to grow, while keeping it NATURAL. It’s naturally packed with micronutrients like calcium, iron, B-vitamins, fiber, and Omega Fatty Acids for superior nutrition. It’s better for the environment and better for you; it’s old school nutrition - modernized.

Using crickets has proven to be an impactful way to sustainably raise high-quality protein that uses exponentially less water, land, and food inputs than other traditional proteins. With an ever growing population and diminishing water supply, crickets have been identified by scientists and organizations worldwide as the definitive answer to meet the demands of our changing environment. Feel good about eating Lithic Cricket Powder and know you are helping reduce your carbon footprint.

About our Crickets: Our crickets (Acheta Domesticus) are fed a variety of all ORGANIC plant-based feed including rice, corn, coconut, and many other sustainable meals. Also known as "cricket flour," they are humanely frozen, then roasted and milled into a fine powder. Our crickets come from FDA registered facilities and every batch is tested for human consumption. Blends SmoothlyI've found the premium cricket flour blends nicely with frozen fruit, nuts, seeds and other powders giving my smoothies a great protein boost with no adverse effect on taste or texture that some other supplements can leave. Haven't tried cooking with it yet... that's next!

Great qualityGreat addition to post-workout smoothies and adds a nice flavor when partially subbing 'regular' flour (which, for me, is usually coconut, cassava, or almond flour) when baking.
